While using video add-ons like Exodus on Kodi to watch movies or TV shows, you must have probably come across the Openload in the list of servers. It is used for streaming the videos from a particular Kodi video add-on on your big screen. Whenever you choose this server, you need to pair it up with the device on which you are playing the video. In this guide I will be showing you how to remove this error using the olpair or https://openload.co/pair websites. What is Kodi Openload Pair Error?
Once you choose Openload as the streaming server, you will see a pop-up asking you to authorize the device on the website; https://openload.co/pair or olpair.com which allows you to pair up the device and hence simplify the stream authorization process. The error message will be,
“To play this video, authorization is required
Visit the link below to authorize the devices on your network:
https://olpair.com then click Pair”
As you can see the above image, showing the exact error which will be displayed when you click on Openload links. Due to this, you won’t be able to watch or stream any TV shows, Sports or movies using Kodi.
Why Does “OpenLoad Stream Authorization” Error Occur?
Whenever you try using a Kodi addon to stream using this server, you need a verification from the server for using the device you want to stream it on. There are basically two reasons for the occurrence of this issue.
One, it is to make sure that no FAKE or BOT traffic is sent by the competitors or hackers which can cause the server to overload and hence break it down permanently. It will also prevent any bandwidth leak and hence provide you a lag free and and smooth experience while watching videos.
Two, to make money! Yes, in order to pay the server costs and keep the service up and running they make you visit their website which is monetized by advertisements all over it. It’s kind of a sneaky way to make some extra bucks and well since it’s a win-win, you can’t complain.
Yes, you might feel lazy to do this but it’s a legit way of verifying the viewers identity for them!
Is Openload Safe to Use?
Being an active user of Kodi since the past year, I have a good experience and a know-how of what is safe to use and what isn’t. My answer to this is NO, it’s not 100% safe and I would suggest you to not blindly trust those people who say it is. It maybe legal to stream movies, TV shows and other videos but as they say, it’s better to be safe than sorry.
There maybe copyrights issues which you might face while viewing and since Kodi itself doesn’t support any video that isn’t official. So streaming the videos using your IP is surely a threat to yourself. So how to be safe?
Well, I use and recommend IPVanish VPN service, which masks your identity and anonymises your IP address. This hides you from the cyber world and allows you to browse all content from a different location as a different person. Isn’t that great? This way you can enjoy unlimited videos and movies on Kodi using any video add-on for free and without any tension.
How to Fix Openload Pair Kodi Error Using Olpair.com
Device pairing itself is a process to register your device’s IP address to Openload system before using their services. So in order to access all the videos, you need to pair your network which allows you to stream content using the server for upto 4 hours. After this time frame is over, you need to pair it again for verification.
Make sure that your streaming device and your Smartphone/PC are connected to the same Internet connection and follow the below steps to do this in the most simple way without any recurring issues:
Note: If you have purchased IPVanish then turn it and change the IP and then start the below process.
- Open your web browser and enter this url: https://olpair.com/
- Once the page loads, click on “I’m not a robot” and click on “Pair” (check below image)
- This will pair your device and authorize it for streaming the content on Kodi from the video add-on you chose. You will see the screen as shown in the below image when the device is successfully paired
- You are done! Go back to your Kodi and select the video you wish to watch using this server again, the message won’t pop-up this time
Alternative Method
The above method works almost for everyone, thought just in case if it doesn’t, you can try out the below method which involves deactivating the hosters from the add-on settings. Follow the below steps to get this done:
- Go to Addon > Video Add-ons
- Right Click on the Exodus addon then select Settings
- As it opens up, you have to go to Playback from the left column
- Once you find the Hosters with Captchas option that is turned on, just turn it off and then click on OK
I would recommend you to go for this method only if the first method doesn’t work after a couple of trials.
