Can You RUN it is a free tool powered by System Requirements Lab that analyses your computer or PC system in seconds. There are tons of games released every day and people love gaming next to dating. To be able to run the various games on your PC, you require a nice CPU build that supports the high graphics and sensors embedded in a particular game.
The professional gamers have quite a good amount of knowledge when it comes to the system requirements for running any game. Though there are some noobs and less skilled/knowledgeable about things that matter (Graphics Card, 3D support, the processor and more). One of my gaming buddies asked me if Can You RUN is safe to use and I realised that there are a lot of mixed opinions about this site. Today I am going to share what I learned after doing my research and some tests on various games.

What is Can You RUN it?
It’s a free tool that allows you to analyse your computer hardware and the system software to determine whether it will be able to run a particular product, software, application or game. It also recommends the upgrades on the specifications you need to make to be able to run any software. Maybe you need a small software or your system is missing a video card or anything, Can You RUN will tell you what you need.
How Does it Work? : Features
If you are wondering if you can run Destiny 2 on your PC, if your PC is fast enough to run CoD WWII, is your graphic card good enough for Assassin’s Creed: Origins?
We know these questions are tough to crack if we are not technically sound. The PC specifications and the requirements of a game, both of these are hard to match but Can You RUN it compares them both for you and makes it a one-click solution taking less than a minute.

- It evaluates the hardware and software of your system
- It doesn’t risk any personal information

Is Can You RUN it Safe & Trustworthy?
Now, coming to the main question and knowing if it is actually legit and trustworthy enough.
People have mixed opinions on this and myself as well. Since it’s on point when it comes to specifications but not the OS. Some of the games “recommend” using the latest OS but they still will operate on the older ones. Though the games will run a little slow than with the exact requirements.
For example: Can You RUN it says the minimum AMD processor for Dying Light is an FX-8320, I’m running an FX-6100 and I get ~21 FPS minimum, hovers around 35-40 normally and peaks around 60. (I have double the recommended RAM and a GTX970 which is slightly above the advised GTX780.) Using this rig and maximum graphics settings (except render distance, which impacts CPU performance).
Is it Virus Free?
Some people were worried if their desktop app would infect the system with a virus or something. We tested the site on ScamAdviser which tells us if a website is fake or malware. It has a good score of 93% which tells us that they are not online to do something bad or malicious.
So a lot of games can hit the limitations quickly but you can still run them (obviously a little slow). So what we can say is that Can You RUN it not 100% reliable. You can use it for getting an idea but you need to understand the mechanics yourself if you want to run games of today’s generation.
Popular Games Tested using Can You Run It: GTA 4, GTA 5, Fallout 4, Overwatch, Witcher 3, Fifa 15, Far Cry 4, Fifa 16, CS Go, Bioshock, Max Payne 3, Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, Rise of the Tomb Raider and much more.
Tip: If you face a problem while using the “Auto Detection” feature on the site. Try using a different browser with Java enabled.
Final Words
So this was my take on Can You RUN it, what I would recommend you is go to this website and search the game you want to. Get those perfect ideas from there because those specs would be ideal for a particular game.
But most probably your PC will be able to run the game (a bit slower) with some glitches. It is a safe site without any malicious activity.
